A two-week festival in East London, Spice Festival organized at Hackney Empire in collaboration with The Hackney Arts Club. The festival features 50 events which include dog talents shows and shows promoting the creativity and innovation. The show features from entertainment, music, drama, comedy, puppetry and many more.
There is a new addition in the Spice festival this year called Spice house which will feature Roller Disco for two weeks. It will be an exciting destination this year as it will provide music and visuals of some of the hottest club nights.
The section “Spice on the Square” will feature some excellent food and entertainment from some of the best designers and makers from Hackney. It not only provides excellent chance to shop but also an entertainment galore to enjoy.
This year’s highlight of Hackney Spice Festival is “UP the Empire” which will stage the live performance of The Paddingtons, Glasvegas, and Dirty Pretty Things.Events also include appearances from Stephen Berkoff, Journeyman and Chibuku Shake Shake. There will also be performances from Echange theatre, Gavin Turk, Greg Mcclaren, Love Music Hate Racism and The Colony Room.
So if you want to enjoy the spice and life of Hackney and want to get immersed into pop, jazz, puppetry, music, drama, opera, rock and many more, you can visit the Spice Festival. There is something for every age group in the festival. Many of the events in the festival are for free but vary depending on the event.
