Gibson Guitar Town

Date: June 25, 2007 to September 21, 2007
Time: 12.00 AM

Gibson Guitar, the world’s premiere musical instrument manufacturer, in collaboration with the UK’s best known musicians is working to support the Gibson Guitar Town. Gibson GuitarTown, a unique charity campaign, is raising funds for three charities- The Princes Trust, Nordoff Robins Music Therapy and Teenage Cancer Trust. The guitars have been designed and hand painted by various artists like Sir Peter Blake, Gerald Scarfe and Andrew Logan. Several British musicians such as Paul Weller, Slash, The Lost Prophets and many more have signed in the guitars and have endorsed it. There are thirty 10-feet free standing fiberglass Gibson Les Paul guitars and 30 regular sized Gibson SG’s. All the guitars which will be in display for 10 weeks will then go for auction. These painted guitars are expected to attract all age groups and class.

The 30 10-foot fiberglass Gibson Les Paul guitars will be displayed around More London. The O2 will also showcase a series of regular size Gibson SG guitars for the charity. After the exhibition, the guitars would be sold off at an auction and the funds earned from it would be used to raise money for three charities. The proceeds from these auctions will be divided equally among the charities.
