Chef Cyrus Todiwala has collaborated with Balls Brothers for the South Indian food festival at his restaurant, Café Spice Namaste. Café Spice Namaste provides a relaxed atmosphere where a guest can enjoy Pan-Asian cuisine. The restaurant has extensive menu with redefined Indian cuisine with specialties from Asia in European style.
The ambience of the Café Spice Namaste is decorated in the exotic Indian style to mar the celebration of South Indian food festival. The restaurant is decorated with lavish lamps, flowers and candles. The floor will be marked and the smell of burning incense will transport you to the east. There will also be the custom of tilak and the waiters will be seen serving people in traditional costumes.
The menu of Café Namaste changes every fortnight and in its menu features unusual meats. All the dishes use fresh ingredients, cooked with natural herbs and the spices prepared by Cyrus. The menu to try in the restaurant is Pomfret pan-fried in tamarind, and ice-cream with coffee and cardamom and Cornish crab. Wine will also be served along with the menu as the chef regards that it goes well with the Indian food.
Chef Cyrus Todiwala known for his charisma has been awarded a Culinary Honor of Merit Award from the World Chef Socirty. In 2000, Cyrus Todiwala was awarded an MBE degree for education and training in the food industry. He has appeared in several TV and radio programs such as BBC’s Saturday Kitchen, Master chef on BBC2, BBC World Service and Talk Radio and many more.
Café Namaste is dedicated in promoting environmental awareness as uses organic food as much as possible. For this contribution it has been awarded two “Environmental Best Practice’ awards and the Green Point Award. It is also one of the very few Indian restaurants to receive BIB Gourmand Award in the Michelin Guide and Cateys Award.
